December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ25) closed down 123 points (−1.75%), and December ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ25) was down 49 points (−1.00%). Cocoa prices dipped after touching earlier lows this week, as improved rainfall in Ivory Coast has boosted hopes for the upcoming West African cocoa crop.

Wheat imports are estimated at 6.7 million tonnes for the 2025/26 marketing year, up from about 6.25 million tonnes the prior year. The temporary zero‑duty import policy introduced in 2024 is referenced as a key enabler of this jump, by making wheat cheaper and more accessible to millers.

AfDB approves €115.66 million for agricultural and cross‑border infrastructure The African Development Bank’s board approved a €115.66 million loan for the second phase of the Cross-border and Agricultural Areas Access Program in Côte d’Ivoire, which will support agricultural value chains and infrastructure in border regions.

They’ve secured export contracts for 16,500 tonnes of sugar to the USA starting September 2025. They are also now able to supply sugar to Angola, a market that was previously difficult to access. Ongoing sales to the United States and plans to sell more within SADC member states.
